Dedicated to the memory of Caroline Burton

This site is a tribute to Caroline Burton. So much fun, full of energy, and the brightest smile - a truly beautiful person inside and out. She is very much loved and will always be remembered by her family and many, many friends.

We hope you will help us remember Caroline and celebrate her life by sharing your memories, stories and pictures on this page so that we all, and especially Caroline's two beautiful young daughters, Grace and Harper, will be able to read about their amazing mummy in years to come.

Caroline sadly passed away in January 2024 aged just 40 and only 16 months after being diagnosed with a Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG), a highly malignant primary brain tumour.

There can be no denying the sheer devastation caused by a brain tumour diagnosis. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, with just 12% of adults surviving for five years after diagnosis. In the UK currently, at least 88,000 children and adults are estimated to be living with a brain tumour. They can strike anyone, at any age, and they strike quickly – reducing life expectancy by 27 years on average – the highest of any cancer.

We are determined to make a difference, by raising funds in Caroline's memory, to support much needed research to help find a cure so that other families don't have to experience the pain we feel so deeply. Because when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour – a cure really can’t wait.

Committed to saving and improving lives, The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. We would be humbled and eternally grateful for all donations, whether big or small, so we can continue to add to Caroline's already wonderful legacy.

Thanks everyone x
